Southbank Centre

It was the story of my last year at the university. The university doesn’t provide us with an opportunity to visit some special visiting places, so we all friends made a plan to see the Southbank Centre. As the university can’t provide us with a bus service so we booked cabs of company online, because the cabs of the company are providing good services all around the United Kingdom. We get up early in the morning, packed our luggage and moved toward the airport. When we reached the airport, the drivers of the cabs were present in front of the airport. They took our luggage and place it in the trunk of the cabs. In this way, our journey starts from Luton Airport to Southbank Centre.

Although the journey was not so long, so moved slowly towards Southbank Centre. The driver of the cab was so frank with us. The driver played nice music in the cab. We all friends enjoyed it a lot. After 1 and a half hours we reached Southend Centre. Southbank Centre is an aesthetic place. On the South Bank of the River Thames in London, England, is a collection of arts venues known as Southbank Centre.

It is Europe's largest centre for the arts and includes the Hayward Gallery, and three major performance spaces (Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Purcell Room, and the Royal Festival Hall with the Saison Poetry Library). 4.36 million people came to it in 2019. Each year, Southbank Centre stages over 2,000 paid performances of music, dance, and literature in addition to 2,000 free events and an education programme in and around the performing arts spaces. Additionally, the Hayward Gallery hosts three to six significant art exhibitions each year, and national touring exhibitions visit over 100 institutions throughout the UK.

company drivers told us that Southbank Centre always arrange events for visitors. We saw that at the thriving arts complex Southbank Centre beside the Thames, there is always something to see and do. Attend performances and exhibits, take part in exciting festivals, and keep an eye out for free concerts and events. Indulge in a meal or drink at one of the numerous bars or eateries, or take in the ambience at the famous Royal Festival Hall.

The vast venue also houses the Poetry Library, Hayward Gallery, Queen Elizabeth Hall, and Purcell Rooms in addition to the Royal Festival Hall. Every year, the arts centre presents a festival schedule of more than 5000 events in the fields of literature, debate, classical and contemporary music, drama, and art.

Southbank Center also provides Summer Exhibitions, Literature Classical music and Comedy Gigs for Families. We also attend exhibitions and Comedy gigs there. Comedy gigs were very exciting. My university fellows were very fond of classical music. We spent most of our time in a Classical music concert.

It was the evening, so we took our dinner from a food stall and moved towards cabs. At 10 pm, we moved Southbank to Luton Airport. After 1 and half hours, we reached Luton Airport. We said goodbye to the drivers of the company and moved towards our house. It was a nice journey in my life.
